2nd Annual ALPF Golf Tournament at Bear’s Best an Amazing Success

On May 10th, 2014 A Level Playing Field Foundation (ALPF) held its 2nd annual golf tournament. The weather was perfect and the turnout was spectacular. 101 golfers took to their carts and scrambled from hole to hole to get their ball in the hole.

Two Palm Memorial employees (along with 13 other Palm employees) came out to support ALPF.

The tournament was loaded with 15 NFL and College football players who came out to support ALPF’s sports programs for underserved youths. The roster was dazzling: Kenny Clark WR Vikings, Eric Crouch, QB Heisman winner from Nebraska, Daunte Culpepper QB with Vikings, Melvin Fowler, Center Buffalo Bills, Hugh Green, Lineman Dolphins, Derek Hagan WR Dolphins, Matthew Hatchette WR Vikings, Courtney Hawkins WR Steelers, Napoleon Mc Callum RB Raiders, Jonathan Ogden Hall of Fame Lineman Ravens, Paul Pratt CB Lions, Johnny Rodgers RB/WR Heisman winner Nebraska, Mike Rozier RB Heisman winner Nebraska and NFL Oilers, Patrick Turner WR Dolphins and Jets.

The football players made the tournament really special. They patiently let others take photos of them and shared lots of football stories as well as autographs!

The dinner at Bear’s Best after the tournament was jam packed with Rancho alumni, (Steve Fleming brought 5 other Rancho alums with him), sponsors, local community leaders, and local movers and shakers who came out to support ALPF.

It was a full house with great food.
