Girls came out in force to attend the HSPD camp!)

More than 180 CCSD students from 8th to 11th grade turned out to attend the 3 day High School Player Development Camp (HSPD) held by the NFL and sponsored by the National Guard.

We had a great turn out! More than 1/3 of the Southern Nevada high schools were represented by both boys and girls in attendance from the following schools: Agassi Prep, Boulder City, Canyon Springs, Chaparral, Desert Pines, Eldorado, Foothill, Green Valley, Legacy, Rancho, Valley, and Western.

It was hard to miss all of the smiles on the participants’ faces as they ran across the field competing with other players as well. High School Football and Flag Football coaches turned out to coach in small groups and every participant had a chance to ask questions and work on some important fundamentals.

It was unanimous…this was a really special camp experience to build football knowledge, skills and new friendships.

A big thanks to the NFL and the National Guard for supporting HSPD and allowing Las Vegas high school students to be part of this incredible National program.
